{part 8}

Don't Panic by Coldplay on Grooveshark
{parts 123456, & 7}
 day six found us in a hurry. and we were happy to see it.

there is just something amazing about jumping into a day as though it were the great expanse beneath a cliff, a wide extent of anything {to borrow the dictionary's definition}, and just falling right up until you land in bed to sleep for the night. that morning, we jumped from the castleview b&b onto a train headed for a place called kyle of lochalsh. the train left at 8:30 am and took four hours to wind through the highlands of scotland. i put on my headphones and stared. it was a completely perfect free-fall.

You already know what I'm going to say. =] hahaha this is so beautiful! I would love to just ride a train through a country and be perfectly content with watching the country side and the pretty things pass by and not have somewhere to be in a hurry or an agenda to adhere to. And if I ever go here I'm chosing where i go based on the name of the town. Kyle of lochalsh? What does that even mean?

These photos are absolutely amazing--my favourite has to be the first one!

I wish I was more spontaneous and would just jump on a train--it's funny how life can stand in your way.

ahem: from the Scottish Gaelic Caol Loch Aillse, "strait of the foaming lake"
so. there's that. :)
haha, and you absolutely should choose that method of travel--there are a LOT of strangely-named towns in scotland...

thanks rebecca! the rain spots are actually on the train windows though. :) we watched it all from inside the dry, warm train cars. {it's definitely the way to go!}
